NEW TOWN OFFICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
September 16, 2008
Members Present:~ Don Metz, Jay Smith, Simon Carr, Michael Woodard, Judy Brotman.
The meeting was officially opened at 8:00 am by Co-Chair Don Metz.~~
1 The minutes of September 9, 2008 were approved.
2 The Board of Selectmen has voted to take the “Municipal Exemption” (so-called) for the project. The plans and a description of the project have been sent to the Planning Board for their non-binding review, should they wish to so do.
3 The Energy Committee met last night and discussed heating alternatives for the new town offices building. The LTOBC is waiting for the Ecotope proposal before making a final decision on the appropriate system for the new building. At that point, the LTOBC will forward a letter with our system recommendation to the Board of Selectmen.
4 Don will double check the plans to make sure slab insulation is included in the spec.
5 Next week the committee will be reviewing the Selectmen’s office space with the Selectmen’s office staff!
6 The project is moving along, with the expectation that concrete will soon be poured for the footings.
